We are seeking speakers for the 2026 Ontario Ecological Restoration Conference, taking place October 16–17, 2026 at the University of Waterloo.
We welcome proposals from restoration practitioners, students, researchers, land stewards, Indigenous and community partners, conservation organizations, agencies, consultants, growers, and anyone facilitating or studying ecological restoration.
Presentation formats
Speakers may propose either:
- 15-minute presentation with 5 minutes for questions
- 50-minute workshop or demonstration
Topics
We are especially interested in seed-based restoration and native seed production, but welcome all topics related to ecological restoration, including:
- Seed-based restoration
- Native wildflower horticulture
- Restoration policy
- Monitoring for restoration success
- Restoration for connecting landscapes
- Communicating restoration
- Species-at-risk
- Invasive species management
We welcome completed projects, work in progress, research, practical demonstrations, and field-based experience.
